In my work Trapped Beginnings, I explored self reflection. By looking deep within ourselves, we can emerge from darkness and confusion, and embrace the beauty around us. In this painting, the subject’s eyes are closed, emphasising the leap of faith. Butterflies symbolise resurrection, hope, and life. What seems to be chaos can be beautiful, if we look at the bigger picture. Sometimes we feel trapped in these four walls, but by continuing to improve ourselves, we can break free and begin again.
