This artwork is meant to represent how even after we have suffered hardships and trauma that leave emotional or physical damage, we can still be the medium in which beautiful things grow. Poppies symbolize consolation and remembrance, all the while being beautifully and vibrantly red. This is meant to communicate how even as we are healing, we still can be beautiful and do great things for our world. Meanwhile, the bee symbolizes brightness and personal power, just like how we can empower ourselves to do better by overcoming our past experiences.
