Course Information
Age Group: Upper Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Adults
Drawing Self Portraits is a fun, exciting and inspiring process. Through enquiry and engaging the students in this art making process, it will help them develop a strong understanding of the Elements and Principles of Art using Procreate and create a beautiful digital painting of the student themselves.
Through enquiry and active exploration, the students will learn:
- Colour compatibility (monochromatic/contrast/complementary/analogous/triadic)
- Proportion and Position of various features will create a different emotion resulting in a different artwork.
- Perspective: Background and Foreground and Proportion.
- Spatial placement of various elements to achieve a harmonious artwork
- Composition of artwork using Principles of Art
- Texture and Value using different tools in Procreate.
By using enquiry and guidance, the students will discover how to express their artistic expression in their artwork through studying various Artist style and techniques.
The styles and techniques will be inspired by Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh and Picasso Artworks. The students will practise various styles and techniques and complete 3 final digital artworks.
Each lesson will be accompanied with 1-2 videos plus a printable worksheet.
